Bees and Honey!
To contribute to poverty reduction by raising income of women's co-operatives by offering hands on training in bee keeping and honey farming as an outstandable and low cost, low input business. 52 participants.
The time is here is between outreaches. Which means that we have finished our work in Ghana and are sailing on to Liberia. So the work with women's projects is complete. It has been a wonderful experience for me to work with women training them in the rabbit, mushroom and snails building relationships. I have enjoyed it immensely.  

These are some of the women rejoicing after successful surgeries. Surgery that has fixed their constant leaking of urine after traumatic birth experiences.

This is the mosque in Larabanga. The Bradt guide describes it "the oldest of the half-dozen-or-so West Sudanese-style mud and stick mosques dotted around northwestern Ghana."

Mole National park. Was where we saw the elephants. The highlight was to see them playing in the water. Our guide P.K took us out at 6:30 am and 3:30 pm on "walking safari's."

This is a mona-monkey. We visited the "wonderful small Baobeng-Fiema Monkey Sanctuary, created to protect the monkey population. Two monkey species occur here in significant numbers, the mona monkey and black-and-white colobus."

Hippo eyes and noses. "The little-visited Bui National Park best known for its population of roughly 200 hippos. The most popular activity is a river trip with local fishermen to look for hippos or at least their ears poking out of the water."

Steph and I found out just how little visited it was. However we both felt Bui was one of the hightlights of the trip. Even the guide and fishermen were excited about all the hippo sightings! They all aggreed it was an excellent viewing day.

Truely, I feel so blessed that the Lord has called me to this work, at this place and at this time.
